I was raised by two hard-working businesspeople. They provided service to others. Often going out of their way to help someone or family in need. They had common-sense, used logic, and could understand how some people have a harder life than others. They called their gift reading people well. Between the two of them, their life experiences far outshined most others, because they made decisions that were both honest and fair to everyone. Some people just have the gift of balance and can influence others to make good choices. They left a well-worn trail for others to follow. They had a productive life together. They enjoyed the road traveled by being a friend who cared and offered a hand to lift and encourage others.
I just read a great quote from Warren Buffet: “The best investment you can make is in yourself. The more you learn, the more you earn.” That quote is “on the spot.” I always said, “Never stop learning.” Walk into a library sometime and look around. Have you read all the books on the shelf in front of you? Look at all the other shelves that offer a better-varied education. Learning can be addictive. It is better than staring at the screen in the living room and falling asleep on the couch at night because you never moved from that spot all day.
Don’t wait until tomorrow…Carpe Diem!
